Welcome to Potomac Valley Builders. Since our inception in 1997, our company has built many of the finest high-end custom homes and renovations in the Metropolitan Washington area. Working closely with leading architects and discerning clients, we follow very high standards for project management, quality construction, and customer service.

We build throughout Montgomery County, in the northwest neighborhoods of Washington DC, and in much of Northern Virginia, including Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, and Fauquier counties. At any one time, we have six to eight projects underway, ranging from small renovations to large custom homes.

Our two principals have worked in the area for over 20 years and are actively involved in each project--from preliminary pricing, through the on-site client meetings and continuing after the final walkthrough. For many clients, we also participate in the design development phase of their home. Not only can we contribute our practical expertise during the design process, but we can value-engineer the plans to reduce your construction costs.

When your home design is complete, we submit a comprehensive and realistic proposal. With our extensive pricing database and long-standing relationships with our subcontractors, we can offer a contract that minimizes surprises.

Our intensive, hands-on approach produces memorable homes—and enduring relationships with our clients. We count many of the homeowners as close friends. For numerous clients, we have built second or third homes or we have remodeled their homes to accommodate life changes. Our clients are also our biggest promoters, frequently referring our company to their families, friends and colleagues.

Many of the top architects in the area also entrust their clients to us. In fact, in a Washingtonian Magazine survey, local architects rated Potomac Valley Builders as one of the top 30 contractors in the Washington area. We have also been recognized by Remodeling magazine as one of the top 1,000 remodelers in the country. 
   
We maintain an on-site superintendent on our projects from groundbreaking to move-in. Most of our superintendents have been with us for more than 10 years.  Clients appreciate the depth of their experience, as they understand the challenges and complexities of building a custom home or remodeling project.  

When you want to make changes to your home during construction, we make it easy. We have the support personnel and systems to streamline the process.  We pride ourselves in fulfilling any request or solving any problem, no matter how unusual or unique.

Unlike most builders, we have our own carpentry crews and cabinetry shop. With these skilled craftsmen on our team, we can achieve the high quality standards that both our clients and we expect. And many of our homeowners showcase the unique trimwork and custom built-ins created in our cabinet shop.
